Welcome to the Party

Welcome to the party;
Please stand over there
In the cellar, in a cupboard
Underneath the stairs

In this cool oasis
In a desert of hot sand
The waters are forbidden
To your interloping hand

On this stormy sea of fate
We hope you’re slow to anger
We hope that you don’t mind
If we use you as the anchor

What a lot of fun we have
Here at Disneyland
Sewed in sweaty costumes
For as long as you can stand

Hey! You won the lottery
What a lot of luck
After fees and taxes
You’ll net about a buck

Now you’ve gotten married!
Nice to have assurance
That someone truly loves you
Or at least your life insurance

Such a fancy dinner!
Glad that you could come,
We’ve saved you all the gristle
And a wad of chewing gum

On this tropic Island
We grow delicious fruits
Of course you can’t have any
You’d better eat your boots
